singer
Anu
Malik
was
accused
of
sexual
harassment
by
singers
Shweta
Pandit
and
Sona
Mohapatra.
Post
which
two
more
survivors
shared
their
traumatic
experiences
with
the
Bollywood
singer.
The
singer
had
rubbished
Sona's
accusations
and
even
said
that
he
hasn't
even
met
her!
Anu
is
currently
part
of
Indian
Idol
10.
Post
sexual
allegations,
netizens
had
tagged
Sony
TV
in
their
online
demand
to
oust
him.
It
was
said
that
Sony
TV
had
taken
a
note
of
the
development,
but
were
yet
to
take
strict
action
as
he
has
been
part
of
the
show
since
it
began
airing
in
2004!
Recently,
it
was
said
that
the
singer
has
been
asked
to
step
down
as
the
judge
and
will
no
longer
be
shooting
for
the
upcoming
episodes.
According
to
the
latest
report,
the
singer
has
issued
an
official
statement
saying
that
he
is
taking
a
break
as
he
is
not
able
to
focus
on
his
work.
Anu
was
quoted
by
IE
as
saying,
"I
have
issued
a
statement
to
the
channel
'I,
Anu
Malik,
have
decided
to
take
a
break
from
Indian
Idol
as
I
am
currently
unable
to
focus
on
my
work
on
the
show.' The
channel
has
been
kind
to
agree
for
the
same."
When
asked
whether
the
channel
asked
him
to
step
down,
he
told
IE,
"They
have
not
asked
me
to
step
down.
I
have
taken
this
stand."
Meanwhile,
Sony
Entertainment
Television
channel
had
also
issued
an
official
statement,
which
was
published
on
NDTV.
The
statement
read
as,
"Anu
Malik
is
no
longer
a
part
of
the
'Indian
Idol'
jury
panel.
The
show
will
continue
its
planned
schedule
and
we
will
invite
some
of
the
biggest
names
in
Indian
music
as
guests
to
join
Vishal
Dadlani
and
Neha
Kakkar
to
judge
the
extraordinary
talent
of
'Indian
Idol'
season
10."
