Colors' controversial reality show Bigg Boss 12 will premiere this weekend (September 16, 2018). The makers are still trying to rope in some of the popular celebrities on the show. During the launch, the host of the show, Salman Khan, surprised the fans by introducing the first jodi of the show Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa! According to the latest report, another popular celebrity who will be seen entering the show is devotional singer Anup Jalota.
It was said that initially Anup was hesitant of being a part of Bigg Boss, but later the makers convinced him.
Anup Jalota Was Little Apprehensive Of Doing Bigg Boss!
A source was quoted by IE as saying, "Initially, Anup was a little apprehensive of doing Bigg Boss. He has had a clean image with hardly any controversies. But the makers managed to convince him. He will be one of the single celebrity contestants in the show."
Anup Might Turn Out To Be The Contestants’ Favourite
The source further added, "Given his age, he could either turn out to be a favourite who the contestants will respect, or he could irk the younger lot. Whatever be it, we are sure he will add his own flavour to the show."
The Theme Of The Show & Contestants List
As the viewers are aware this time the theme is ‘Vichitra jodi' and a few contestants will enter the show in pairs. The contestants who will enter the house as singletons will be paired by the host. Apart from Anup, Dipika Kakar, Neha Pendse, Srishti Rode, Ssumier Pasricha and Karanvir Bohra are apparently confirmed celebrity contestants.
It is also being said that popular YouTuber Deepak Kalal and Splitsvilla 7 fame Scarlett Rose will also join the show as commoners.
Bigg Boss 12 Timings Changed
The CEO of Colors' channel, Raj Nayak, surprised the fans by announcing that this time the show will be aired at 9 PM instead of 10.30 PM. We had also revealed that because of Bigg Boss' schedule, other shows' like Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, Bepannaah and Roop's time-slot will get affected.
Why Did The Makers Decide To Change The Time-slot Of Bigg Boss?
Regarding the time change, Manisha Sharma, Programming Head - Colors was quoted by IE as saying, "The immense popularity this show enjoys and the demand from its fans for an earlier time slot encouraged us to bring Bigg Boss 12 in the 9 pm band."
The Makers Want Bigg Boss 12 To Be A Chartbuster!
"We have a very good line up of unusual pairings of family and friends from across India that we believe will appeal to a larger spectrum of viewers. Non-fiction content from COLORS has always set a benchmark, and now with the success of Dance Deewane and Rising Star, our endeavour is to make the 12th Season of Bigg Boss a chartbuster as well."
