Indian Idol 10: Sonia Gazmer Is The First Contestant To Get Eliminated!
Sonia Gazmer, who is from West Bengal, is the first contestant to get eliminated from Indian Idol 10.
The popular singing reality show, Indian Idol 10 has been in news since its inception. The top 14 contestants have impressed the viewers and judges with their spell binding performances. Like every weekend, this weekend too, the contestants entertained with an amazing line-up of songs. South Superstar, Kamal Haasan graced the singing reality show and promoted his upcoming film, Vishwaroopam 2. It was a special 'Thank You' episode, where contestants and the superstar thanked special people in their lives. The actor got emotional and was almost in tears as he thanked his brother for his sacrifice.
It was also an elimination episode, where one contestant who gets the less score and votes, gets eliminated.
Kamal Haasan Gets Nostalgic; Enjoys The Songs That Contestants Sang
The interesting thing in today's (August 5, 2018) episodes was the songs! The contestants sang beautiful and melodious songs of Kamal Haasan. The legendary actor not only got nostalgic and recalled his good old times, but also enjoyed the songs that the contestants sang.
Neelanajana Ray’s Fantastic Performance
Neelanajana Ray delivered fantastic performance with her rendition of ‘Tere mere beech mein' from Kamal Haasan's landmark movie, Ek Duje Ke Liye! The actor even joyfully joined in the performance with a short Tamil dialogue. He was all praises for her.
Neha Kakkar Fan Girl Moment With Kamal Haasan
Also, Neha Kakkar, who's one of the judges, had a fan moment on the sets, and was in complete awe of the Vishwaroopam hero. She too, expressed her wish to relive the same moment with Kamal Haasan and the actor happily agreed! Neha and Kamal Haasan sang a duet together, ‘Jitne bhi tu kar le sitam'.
Salman Ali Declared The Performer Of The Week
Every contestant performed fantastically! Salman Ali was declared the performer of the week. But since it was elimination episode, one person had to leave the show. As the viewers are aware, the contestants were given scores based on their performances.
Sonia Gazmer Eliminated
From 14 contestants, three contestants - Sonia Gazmer, Krishnakali Sahu and Vibhor Parashar - scored less and were at danger zone. Among the three, it was Sonia who got least number of votes and was eliminated.
Sonia, who is from West Bengal, is apparently a playback singer and a live stage performer. She owns a studio named GaZMaYer studio.
