Recently, Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan visited the singing reality show to promote their film Sui Dhaaga. Varun was so impressed with the contestant Salman Ali (as he was touched by his story of struggling to make ends meet) that he compared him to Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan!
Salman Ali is one of the top 11 contestants and his singing talent is praised by many celebrities who visit the sets. Apparently, Salman takes care of his large family single-handedly and strives to fulfil his parents' wishes.

The actor was quoted by IANS as saying, "Salman Ali is the Salman Khan of our music industry. His performance was absolutely incredible. I felt as if I was listening to a recording and not a live performance. It's said that when you do a film, you have to completely get into the character of the role."
