Ishqbaaz: Sanaya Irani & Drashti Dhami Approached; Is Nakuul Mehta Quitting The Show?
It is being said that Sanaya Irani and Drashti Dhami have been approached for the second season of Ishqbaaz. The makers are keen on locking either Sanaya or Drashti for the lead role.
As the viewers are aware that the makers of Ishqbaaz have taken a major step to revive the show, the show is not garnering the required TRPs. The producer of the show recently confirmed that the show is taking a generation leap. Post the leap, Surbhi Chandna will not be seen on the show. The viewers are upset regarding the same and a few are even seen slamming the writers and the producer for replacing Surbhi! The fans are trending #NoSurbhiNoIshqbaaaz and #NoShivikaNoIshqbaaz on social media. But Gul is unaffected, and had said that no tweeting or commenting can change the decision.
Post the generation leap, it was said that Nakuul will be seen playing his own son, Shivansh! But, recently, there was a buzz that along with Surbhi, Nakuul too is quitting the show! Read on to know the truth!
Along With Surbhi, Nakuul Too Is Quitting Ishqbaaz?
A source was quoted by Spotboye as saying, "It's true that Surbhi Chandna is quitting the show as the actress is not comfortable playing a mother on-screen but news of Nakuul playing his own son is not true. Both Anika and Shivaay will be replaced by new faces. Currently, their wedding sequence is being shot. But soon we will start auditioning for new faces as by next month the show will take a leap."
Gul Khan Refuses To Comment
When the producer of the show Gul Khan was asked regarding the same, she told the entertainment portal, "I am not replying to any questions for now as everything turns into controversy. I would just request you to wait for a week."
Nakuul Is Not Quitting Ishqbaaz
But according to Pinkvilla report, Nakuul is not quitting the show! The makers are planning to introduce the new chapter as season two with Nakuul as the main lead playing Shivaay and Anika's son, Shivaansh Singh Oberoi.

The auditions for the female lead is on! Recently, Yeh Vaada Raha actress, Sonal Vengurlekar had supported Gul Khan for her decisions with regard to choosing the characters. A few fans had even threatened her that her career would end if she accepted the role, while a few others requested her not to replace Surbhi Chandna.

Meanwhile, it is being said that popular actors Sanaya Irani and Drashti Dhami are approached for the lead role. A source was quoted by IWM as saying, "Talks are happening with Sanaya Irani and Drashti Dhami to play the lead. The makers are looking for a very popular face to play the female lead post its leap."
Sanaya Recently Met Gul Khan
Sanaya is busy with Vikram Bhatt's movie Ghost, while Drashti Dhami has recently quite Silsila Badalte Rishton ka. Sanaya recently met Gul and the latter had given a clue that the duo might work together!
