Hina Khan will soon make her entry on Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2. Fans have been waiting for her entry! The actress will be seen playing the iconic villain role Komolika that was played by Urvashi Dholakia in season 1 of the show. Earlier, Hina was seen in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where she played the humble Akshara, which too was an iconic character. But now, she will be seen in a negative role! Many might think that shifting from a positive role to a negative one might be a risk, but the actress doesn't feel so!

In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, the actress revealed that she is up for a challenge, as she has chosen to play a negative role. She also revealed her favourite character on the show!

Hina On Playing Komolika After Akshara

The actress was quoted by Mumbai Mirror as saying, "I really don't think playing Komolika after Akshara is a risk. As I said, the word stereotype is out of my dictionary and I have proved that time and again! And I will prove it again. And sadly this is the problem with our industry, we tend to think that positive leads are better than negative leads, but no it's not like that. As in fact both are important."

“I Am Not Someone Who Will Give Up”

"People have seen me in Khatron and Big Boss, and I am not someone who will give up. I will fight it and make sure to make it happen for myself. I will try my best, and at the same time tell people that this is a new space for me and you have got to give me time till I understand how this works."

Hina Promises To Do A Positive Role Again!

"But I definitely want to explore it, and I promise you that after this show I will do a positive lead again. I want to prove to the world that it doesn't work like that. If you do a positive doesn't mean you have to keep doing a positive! As in fact doing a negative is as big or even bigger! It is your performance which will speak."

“A Character Doesn't Define A Show”

"A character doesn't define a show, but the performance does. The kind of impression you leave on people does. But post this, I will play an innocent positive role where people cry with me as well. Back then I broke the stereotype image of Akshara and I came out as a fashionista, got so many awards and now I am into my next phase and project where I have to portray a negative and so I will make sure I do it and do it well."

Hina Is Watching Kasautii

When asked whether she is watching the second season of Kasautii, the actress said, "I have currently been watching the show because as an actor it is my responsibility to understand what's happening on the show and how it's working. And I love to do my homework whenever I get onto a new project."

"So yes, I have been following Kasautii every day. But these two, Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan are doing a great job in Kasautii and I am really liking all the characters. My favourite by the way is Mohini as she is doing a great job."
