Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2: The Kapil Sharma Show’s Sumona Chakravarti To Play Anurag’s Sister!
The Kapil Sharma Show’s Sumona Chakravarti has been approached to play Anurag’s sister Nivedita on Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2. Kali Prasad Mukherjee and Kanupriya Pandit have been approached for the show.

Ekta Kapoor surprised her fans by announcing the reboot of the epic love saga, Kasautii Zindagi Kay. The show starred iconic jodi - Prerna and Anurag (Shweta Tiwari and Cezzane Khan). Recently, Ekta Kapoor released the promo and the viewers got nostalgic. Although the female lead's name (Erica Fernandes) has been revealed, the makers have kept the male lead's name, a secret. Many names such as Shaheer Sheikh, Sharad Malhotra, Barun Sobti, Parth Samthaan and Abhimanyu Chaudhary are doing the rounds as Anurag Basu.
It was even said that Barun was apporached to play Mr Rishabh Bajaj (played by Ronit Roy in original). But Barun has refuted the reports and said that he has no clue about it. On the other hand, Erica confirmed that Shaheer is not playing Anurag on the show.

Erica was quoted by an entertainment portal as saying, "With a new show comes a new pair; they can't keep pairing the same actors all over again and people will also love the new Jodi." According to latest report, the makers have roped in a few actors for major roles on the show.
Sumona Chakravarti To Play Anurag’s Sister
It is being said that The Kapil Sharma Show actress Sumona Chakravarti has been roped in to play Anurag's sister Nivedita Basu's role. When the leading daily contacted the actress, she confirmed being approached, but revealed that nothing has been finalised yet. The role was originally played by Poonam Narula.
Kali Prasad Mukherjee To Play Prerna’s Father
According to India-forum report, veteran actor Kali Prasad Mukherjee has been roped in to play the role of Prerna's father. The actor was seen on shows like Rang Rasiya and Tere Liye, Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum.
Kanupriya Pandit As Prerna’s Mother
Kanupriya Pandit, who was seen on Badrinath Ki Dulhania, will be seen playing the role of Prerna's mother and Prasad Mukherjee's wife on the show.
