Mouni Roy became popular with shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Devon Ke Dev - Mahadev and Naagin. The actress is making her Bollywood debut with Gold, opposite Akshay Kumar. Post the announcement of the movie Gold, more Bollywood projects have landed up on her lap. The actress is currently super busy with a bunch of Bollywood projects: Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt's film Brahmastra, Rajkummar Rao's Made in China and John Abraham's Romeo Akbar Walter. She feels blessed to bag such important films in a short span of time.
Mouni was quoted by IE as saying, "I think it's beautiful how it all happened. Each project is very dear to me. Gold, being my Bollywood debut, will always be really special. People keep asking why I chose it as my debut film. I would like to clarify that it chose me. It was just destined to come my way. And it became my lucky charm, for soon, other films also came my way."

We have seen many television actors, who foray into Bollywood, and don't want to return to the small screen again. But Mouni says that she is open to working on television. The actress says, "I will always be open to working on television. I am a TV actor and will always be one."

Mouni will also be seen making her digital debut with ALT Balaji's web series Noor Jahan. Regarding the same, the actress told the leading daily, "As an actor, there shouldn't be any barriers of a medium. You should be able to live the character regardless of where it's screening."

"I am really excited about the show. That's going to be another marathon. We will be presenting the four stages of Noor Jahan's life. I have already started learning Urdu though there's still time for it to go on floors."
