Not Deepika Singh, But Jodha Akbar Fame Paridhi Sharma To Play The Lead In ‘Patiala Babes’!

Apparently, Rajita Sharma, who has penned shows like Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, Ganga, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and others, is working on a new show. Tellychakkar report suggests that Rajita is bringing in a new show which is tentatively titled as Patiala Babes. The show will be aired on Sony TV. Her production house name has now been changed to Katha Kottage.

Earlier, it was said that Deepika Singh, who was last seen on Star Plus' popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum, will play the lead role on the show. But according to the latest report, it is being said that Paridhi Sharma might play the lead in the show!

A source was quoted by BT as saying, "Deepika was auditioned for the part, but she is not doing it. Paridhi, who is a brilliant actress, fits the bill perfectly." Patiala Babes is a mature love story in which the leading lady will play mother to a teenager.

Paridhi shot to fame with her role of Jodha from the historical show Jodha Akbar. Like Deepika, Paridhi is also a new mother. She delivered a daughter a year ago. The actress had vanished from limelight post the birth of her daughter. She did a small cameo in Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum. But now it looks like the actress is all set to bounce back on TV soon!

On the other hand, Deepika is also ready to make a comeback after her maternity break. She is super active on social media and keeps her fans updated.
