Salman Khan returned as the host of Dus Ka Dum after nine long years. The makers had a lot of expectations riding on the show. But the show failed to garner good ratings. The makers later changed the time slot and invited celebrity guests on the show. It was later that the show made its way to the top of the TRP chart. Salman Khan reveals what went wrong with the show. He feels that the slot was the main thing that didn't work for the show. He adds that the audiences didn't know about its telecast.

Later, after the makers changed the time slot and Salman created awareness about the same, the show's ratings went up!

When asked as to what went wrong with the show and why didn't the show live up to the expectations, Salman told DNA, "What happened was we slotted the show on Monday-Tuesday, but nobody knew that it was being telecast. Wahan thodasa maar kha gaye."

"The makers got to know something was amiss in the second or third week and they started checking. They decided to shift it to Saturday-Sunday, which was much riskier. But they got their promotions correct this time, even I created awareness about it in the show and it started rating 1.7-1.8."

The show is inching towards its finale. The final episode will be aired this Sunday (September 9, 2018), which will have Shahrukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee as guests.
