Sony TV’s CID Going Off Air After 21 Years: Upset Fans Start Online Campaign #SaveCID!
Sony TV’s CID is going of air! The fans are extremely upset and have started a campaign #SaveCID on social media.

Sony TV's CID is television's longest-running and most loved show. The first crime-based show on Indian television had managed to keep the fans hooked on to the show with an interesting storyline. The show has completed 20 years and the channel announced that the last episode will be aired on October 27, 2018. The channel released a statement which said that the show is taking 'an intermittent break' and it 'will gear up for a renewed season with a lot more contextual cases keeping alive the thrill that the audience has experienced so far'.
Meanwhile, the news that the show is going off air has not only shocked the viewers but also the actors.
Shivaji Satam, who played the role of ACP Pradyuman was quoted by Mumbai Mirror as saying, "Everyone is equally stunned by the news. I don't know if the channel will want us back. We weren't even officially informed that it's going off air." The fans have started an online campaign, #SaveCID and #DontEndCID". Read the tweets!
