The handsome hunk of Television industry Barun Sobti is celebrating his birthday today (August 21). The actor who is from Delhi, stepped into the acting field as his friends Karan Wahi and Priyanka Bassi forced Barun to become an actor. Although the actor has done countable shows, he has left a mark in the industry, thanks to the role of Arnav Singh Raizada from the show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon! The actor has a huge fan base, especially that of the female fans, who go gaga over his cute smile!

Barun's Debut Show Shraddha
Apparently, Karan Wahi recommended Barun's name for Shraddha, which is Barun's debut show! The actor played the role of Swayam Khurana in the faith-oriented show Shraddha on Star Plus, opposite Neha Janpandit. Dill Mill Gayye
Later, the actor went on to do Dill Mill Gayye, where he played a negative cameo role of Dr Raj Singh. Interestingly, the show completes 11 years today (August 21, 2018). Baat Hamari Pakki Hai
The actor rose to fame with the show Baat Hamari Pakki Hai, in which he was seen as the carefree Shravan Jaiswal, opposite Ankita Mayank Sharma and Krystle D'souza. The story revolves around Saachi (Ankita), an orphan who gets married to Shravan. Saachi later finds out that Shravan loves someone else (Tara played by Krystle). But as the story progresses, Saachi and Shravan fall for each other. The show was nominated for the Best Drama Series Fiction category at the Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards. Barun Sobti was also nominated for the Best TV Actor category at the Apsara Awards.
Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon
Barun went on to become a star with Gul Khan's Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, in which he played the role of Arnav Singh Raizada, a rude and suave businessman. He was paired opposite Sanaya Irani and the fans love the jodi (Arnav & Khushi) that the fans love even till today! IPKKND was one of the top popular shows with high TRP ratings throughout its run in 2011-2012 and till date the series is available in multiple languages. Because of the popular demand of fans, the makers had even released a short web series titled Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Jashn on Hotstar.
Tanhaiyan
After a long break, Barun returned with the web series Tanhaiyan, which was produced by IPKKND's Gul Khan. Barun starred opposite Surbhi Jyoti in the show. The show ranked no. 2 on Hotstar. Although many loved the new jodi, a few of them wanted Sanaya alongside Barun again!
Barun’s Upcoming Shows!
Barun and Surbhi will soon be seen in the talk show Unscripted hosted by producer-director Gul Khan. The actor will also be seen on Ekta Kapoor's web series The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family that also stars Bollywood actor Kay Kay Menon. On account of Barun's birthday, ALT Balaji revealed a few pictures of Barun's look from the show.
