Amidst rumours of Navjot Singh Sidhu being sacked, the channel shared a promo welcoming Archana Puran Singh. So, is Archana replacing Sidhu on the show?

Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is part of The Kapil Sharma Show, got himself in trouble for his comments on Pulwama terror attack. His statement didn't go well with netizens, who slammed him on social media. Fans even asked the makers and the channel to throw Sidhu out of the show, and threatened to boycott the show, and unsubscribe the channel.. Later, it was said that the channel had asked the production house to sack Sidhu. It was also said that, Archana Puran Singh, who shot a couple of episodes, might replace Sidhu.
Apparently, Kapil shot with Archana even before the Pulwama terror attack as Sidhu wasn't available. So, is Archana replacing Sidhu on the show?
Is Archana Replacing Sidhu On The Show?
When TOI contacted Archana regarding the same, she said, "I had shot for TKSS on the 9th and 13th of February, a day before the unfortunate attacks happened. I was called in by the channel because Sidhu wasn't available for those days for some personal work/I agreed to shoot for the dates as I have done the same before."
‘I Think People Are Joining The Wrong Dots’
She further added, "I think people are joining the wrong dots that I am replacing Sidhu because of the backlash. Well, also if that is true, I haven't received any confirmation or information on the same from the channel yet."
Archana On Replacing Sidhu
She further added, "If I am truly needed for TKSS, then I will have to actually figure out how to adjust the dates because I am already shooting for 'My Name Is Lakhan' with Shreyas Talpade and also for another movie. I can only give clarity when I get it myself. Whether I would want to go ahead with TKSS or not is not the question, but will I be able to go ahead or not is the point. Let's see."

Meanwhile, the channel released the new promo and captioned it as, "We welcome Archana Puran Singh on #TheKapilSharmaShow, next Sunday!"

In the promo Kapil is seen welcoming Archana Puran Singh. When quizzed by Kapil as to how come she is on his show, Archana tells him that everyone she knows, including Krushna and Bharti, are here and chides him for forgetting her. Pointing towards Sidhu's chair, she adds that it is the only 'kursi', she is familiar with.
Sidhu On Being Sacked From The Show
On the other hand, in a video, Sidhu is seen telling that he missed TKSS shoots as he was busy with his duties as a politician.
He is seen telling in the video, "I had to attend Vidhan Sabha's session due to which I couldn't go for the shoots of Kapil Sharma's show and they got somebody else in my replacement for two episodes. I have no intimation about my termination from the channel. If it is regarding my statement, I will stick to what I have been saying yesterday, today and ever tomorrow. On the other hand, sources have confirmed that he has indeed been asked to leave as they fear bad publicity."

Meanwhile, a source close to Kapil revealed an entertainment portal as to why the comedian is mum about the issue (Sidhu being sacked from the show). The source revealed, "Kapil Sharma has nothing to say on Mr Sidhu getting sacked from the show as authorities at Sony channel will be the right ones who can answer about this."
