Bigg Boss OTT Grand Premiere: Karan Johar Makes Dhamakedaar Entry & Introduces Contestants; Divya Nominated!
Bigg Boss OTT has been creating a huge buzz ever since it was announced. The makers had released promo featuring host Karan Johar, who gave us the glimpse of the house. The makers also released several promos of contestants- we must say, they have managed to get on board interesting celebrities. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the show, and finally, the wait is over as the grand premiere of the show is happening today August 8.
Karan Johar makes a dhamakedaar entry. He performs to the songs like 'Radha' from Student Of The Year, and 'It's the time to disco' from Kal Ho Na Ho and 'Shava Shava' from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
# Karan introduces us to the contestants. He welcomes Raqesh Bapat and Zeeshan Khan. While conversing with Zeeshan, he asks him about his airport bathrobe stunt. He also compares the actor with Ranveer Singh seeing his quirky look. He dances with the actor to the song 'Radha' and also reveals about the theme 'stay connected' and says female contestants will also be entering, so connection is important and after they are paired up with their connection, they will enter the house.
# Next enters Millind Gaba, who performs to a few songs. Karan reveals that the show is 24*7 live on OTT and uncensored and asks people to download Voot and watch the show. Millind also sings his version of 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'.
# Dance Deewane 3 team judges and host Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiya and others wish Nishant and send him to Bigg Boss OTT and on stage, he shakes leg with Karan Johar. The host also reveals Nishant has worked with him in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and others.
#Arjun Bijlani and Karan Wahi, who performed with Nishant, enter Bigg Boss OTT. They were seen playing fun game, 'chidiya udh' with Karan to decide who will enact Alia and performed to 'Ishq Wala Love' song from Student of the year.
#KJo then introduces to Karan Nath and asks other contestants about their first impression on Yeh Dil Aashiqana actor. He reveals that if his connection disconnected then the contestant will also be out of the show.
# The host introduces to last and final hero Pratik Sehajpal, who calls himself 'andhi'. Pratik's energy seemed so high, as he started fighting with other contestants as soon as he was introduced to others.
# Karan welcomes Malaika Arora, who is seen performing to 'Param Sundari'.Karan asks if she is really going in the house, she tells him, "Anything for you." Malaika says she should get first gossips, even who is getting nominated or eliminated. He reveals to Malaika that everyone will get live updates on Voot for 24*7.
She reveals that she has come to take contestants to task, and check the SGS (Sarvagun Sampan) boys' flexibility, and calls Millind and Zeeshan to do Yoga poses. She then calls Pratik and Raqesh, and other contestants, to take 'Master Class' and asks them to impress her. He then sends her off.
The table is then turned i.e., male contestants will not be able to see which female contestant is entering the show.
# He then introduces to first female contestant of the show Shamita Shetty, who performs to the song 'Sharara'. He welcomes them on stage and Shamita reveals she is excited and nervous as she is going yet again to the show. Shamita also indirectly hinted at the turmoil in her family going on and says that since she had committed to the show long back, she couldn't say no.
Shamita Gets Connected With Raqesh: He then asks Shamita to answer a few questions and is asked to choose 2 male contestants. She chooses Raqesh and Karan Nath, who are asked by KJo to pamper the actress by making bhel. Raqesh makes it really clean and nice, while Karan Nath gets nervous and mashes almost all ingredients together. After tasting the bhel, he asks Shamita to choose one contestant and warns her that she will be connected with them for six long weeks (and if her connection gets disconnected, she gets eliminated). She then gives a reason and chooses Raqesh.
Pratik also gets in a fight with Shamita, as she says he looks like K-pop and she loves them. He gets miffed as she doesn't choose her and fights with her, KJo had to interfere to stop him. Shamita then enters the house and loves the house.
# Urfi Javed enters the stage and Karan says that she is looking PHAT (Pretty hot and tempting). She tells that he has a crush on Karan and not Shah Rukh Khan. On the other side, male contestants give their own opinion on her.
Urfi says she knows a few of contestants, especially Pratik as he was ex-boyfriend of Pavitra. KJo asks why he broke up with her, he reveals both (he and Pavitra) of them were very aggressive so they broke-up as it became toxic relationship.

She enters the house and meets Shamita, and the duo get into conversation. Shamita is surprised that Urfi also has same opinion about Pratik (as they both didn't like him).
# Karan introduces playback singer Neha Bhasin, who performs to the song 'Dhunki'.
Neha & Millind Get Connected
She chooses Raqesh and Millind, but since Raqesh is already chosen, she chooses Pratik. They are asked to play the game and since Millind manages to impress her, she chooses him. Neha then enters the house.
Moose Gets Connected With Nishant
# Moose Jattana aka Muskaan is then welcomed. She chooses Raqesh and Zeeshan, but since they were chosen already, she chooses Pratik and Nishant. They play a game and she then chooses Nishant as she wants to explore more with him on the show, and enters the Bigg Boss OTT house.

# Karan then introduces to Bhojpuri cinema's 'atom bomb' Akshara Singh. The actress chooses Pratik as her connection.
Karan Chooses Ridhima; Divya Eliminated!
# Divya Agarwal makes a damakdaar entry by performing to 'Nadiyon Par' song. She reveals she saw the first film set Student of the Year, in which she was a background artist. Since only one male contestant Karan Nath is left, he gets connected with Divya. But KJo introduces a twist as he introduces the last contestant Ridhima Pandit. Pratik and Divya get into a fight and the latter calls him 'pehle show ka paagal'. KJo now lets Karan to choose the girl, and he chooses Ridhima, and Divya unfortunately gets nominated since the day one (on the premiere episode itself)! All the contestants finally enter the house and Bigg Boss welcomes the contestants.
