AbhiYa new show: If we had an award for the cutest jodi in telly land, we would only give it to Jiya Shankar and Abhishek Malhan. The two celebrities have been hogging all the attention ever since they decided to feature in Bigg Boss OTT 2. Although they didn't lift the winner's trophy, the duo earned a significant fan following.

Be it X (earlier Twitter) or Instagram, AbhiYa have been grabbing eyeballs on all the platforms. Before they shot for their music video in Chandigarh, the two stars received a special surprise from their followers. They trended online as they featured on Times Square in New York.

Guess what? It was a surprise from their fans as they trended 'AbhiYa on Times Square'. After their music video Judaiyaan released on YouTube, it garnered over 10 million views on the first day, creating a record. Judaiyaan became the most-viewed music video in the first 24 hours of release.

Abhishek and Jiya's sizzling chemistry created ripples on the internet, generating a massive response from the audience. AbhiYa fans loved every bit of their scorching on-screen romance as their song had all the necessary ingredients. From romance and drama to heartbreak and separation, the song had elements which could strike a chord with the audience.

ABHIYA 'DESERVING WINNER' CONTROVERSY

Last week, a video went viral where Jiya Shankar and Elvish Yadav were seen talking about the 'deserving winner' of Bigg Boss OTT 2. Fans believed that Elvish and Jiya took a dig at Abhishek Malhan in their reunion video.

Jiya Shankar had to release a statement to refute the rumours. "Crazy how some people are still fighting on the internet and spreading hate! I tend to laugh on things easily that's in my nature anyway since "some" of you needed to hear it from me - that was a taunt for me too since I've said it many times publicly that deserved to win. As if this would make any difference go ahead say what you want to! Rest it's not my fight, not my words! But still want to spread hate? Go ahead waste your energy on stupid things. Love you too," her statement read.

ABHISHEK MALHAN IN BIGG BOSS 17?

According to the latest buzz, Endemol India has approached Abhishek Malhan and Jiya Shankar for Bigg Boss 17. The Twitter handle of The Khabri shared a post that read, There are rumours again. #Abhiya in BB17 don't be surprised if they accept the offer because once I said they both are still in the contract of endemol. #JiyaShankar & #FukraInsaan Refused it several times but at the moment Anything can happen. Wait for the premiere day... still we can't say anything (sic)."

When we contacted a reliable source, he squashed the rumour and said, "Both Abhishek Malhan and Jiya Shankar are busy with their respective projects. It's just a false rumour. They are not doing Bigg Boss 17. The duo is interested in newer projects. They might make a special appearance in BB 17 but they are not doing a full-fledged non-fiction show that keeps them away for three months."
