daughter
Shanelle's
wedding.
Smriti
Irani
is
reported
to
have
arrived
in
Jodhpur
on
Wednesday
and
has
left
for
Nagaur
by
road.
Shanelle
Irani,
Smriti's
daughter,
is
set
to
marry
NRI
Arjun
Bhalla
at
the
15th-century
Khimsar
fort,
which
has
been
converted
into
a
heritage
hotel.
The
wedding
is
said
to
take
place
in
the
presence
of
family
members
and
close
friends.
The
minister
had
shared
the
news
of
her
daughter's
engagement
back
in
December
2021
on
her
Instagram
account.
The
wedding
ceremonies
will
happen
at
Khimsar
Fort,
which
is
almost
500
years
old
and
is
surrounded
by
scenic
sand
dunes.

note,
the
heritage
hotel
belongs
to
BJP
leader
Gajendra
Singh.

KHIMSAR
FORT
Located
near
Khimsar
village,
the
Khimsar
fort
falls
in
the
Nagaur
district
of
Rajasthan,
India.
It
is
located
on
the
eastern
edge
of
the
Thar
Desert,
halfway
between
Jodhpur
and
Nagaur.
The
fort
was
built
in
1523
by
Rao
Karamsi
ji,
who
was
the
8th
son
of
Rao
Jodha
of
Jodhpur.
As
per
history,
Mughal
ruler
Aurangzeb
used
to
stay
in
this
fortress
during
his
visit
to
Nagaur.
As
per
sources,
Khimsar
fort
was
built
in
the
15th
century;
therefore,
it's
almost
500
years
old.
It
has
a
desert
on
one
side
and
a
lake
on
the
other.
Visitors
can
go
on
a
desert
safari
during
the
day
and
also
relax
under
the
stars
at
night.
It
is
said
that
the
fort's
surroundings
give
off
a
romantic
vibe,
especially
during
the
sunset
and
sunrise.
The
fort
has
71
rooms
and
suites,
along
with
4
food
and
beverage
outlets.
It
also
has
two
banquet
and
meeting
venues
and
18
villages
with
luxury
huts.

engaged
