Junooniyatt News: Following his successful stint on Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 16, television star Ankit Gupta made a comeback on the small screen with the production venture Junooniyatt, helmed by Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey. The musical drama, also starring Gautam Singh Vig and Neha Rana, has been getting a decent response from fans since its inception.

Junooniyatt has charmed viewers with its captivating blend of music and romance, presenting an engaging storyline. The recent plot twist, wherein Elahi unexpectedly marries Jordan instead of Jahaan, has left dedicated viewers feeling disappointed. To intensify the love triangle between Jahaan, Elahi, and Jordan, the show's creatives recently introduced the new character of Elahi's estranged sister as the new girl in Jahaan's life, adding an intriguing element to the narrative.

MANASI SALVI ON LEAVING JUNOONIYATT AFTER APPEARING IN 12 EPISODES

Viewers who have been watching Junooniyatt since the very beginning must be aware that the well-known actress Manasi Salvi was initially a part of the musical drama. She essayed the role of Jordan's (Gautam Singh Vig) mother Maheep in it. However, after appearing in just 12 episodes, the actress decided to put her papers down.

In a recent interview, the actress finally opened up about leaving Junooniyatt after just 12 episodes. Revealing the same to ETimes, Manasi said, "I had relocated in February to Chandigarh for the show and all was going well. But after 12 episodes, I felt that things were not moving in the right direction and I decided to quit. There are no hard feeling and let's say I was also missing home, and it was best to move back and look for something else. Sometimes you take up things thinking that they are perfect for you, but destiny has other plans. On a lighter note, I enjoyed my stay in Chandigarh and loved eating the Punjabi food there."

After staying away from TV for a few months, she is finally back with Star Plus' Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin in which she's seen as Savi's (Bhavika Sharma) mentor. Now, it'll be interesting to see if she'll be able to make a mark with her performance in the show.
