Ankit Gupta Reveals Priyanka Choudhary’s First Reaction To Him Doing Junooniyatt & It Is Too Quirky To Miss

Ankit Gupta is all over the headlines these days and rightfully so. After all, post his impressive stint on Bigg Boss 16, Ankit has come up with a new show Junooniyatt. Also starring Gautam Vig and Neha Rana, Junooniyatt happens to be a musical drama and the team was seen promoting the show during the Bigg Boss 16 grand finale. As Ankit is set to play the boy next door, fans have been eagerly waiting for Priyanka Choudhary's reaction to the show and now the Udaariyaan actor has finally revealed the same.

During the Junooniyatt promotions, when Ankit was quizzed if he told Priyanka about the show after meeting her, he stated that Farah Khan had informed her about it. Talking about Priyanka's reaction, Ankit said, "Usne bola, 'Tune phirse Chandigarh me show le lia'". For the uninitiated, Ankit and Priyanka's much popular show Udaariyaan was also based in Chandigarh. As of now, Junooniyatt has opened to rave reviews from the audience and fans are looking forward to seeing Ankit in the role of a lover boy. To note, Junooniyatt will mark Ankit's first collaboration with his Bigg Boss 16 co-contestant Gautam Vig.

Meanwhile, Ankit is also grabbing the eyeballs for his emotional reaction towards Priyanka's elimination from Bigg Boss 16 as a second runner up. Talking about it, he explained, "Well, It was quite unexpected for me and I couldn't accept the fact that she's coming out as a second runner-up and thus I got a little emotional. Everybody knows that she deserved it. She was winning almost every poll and contest and thus the results took time to sink in. However, looking at the grace that she came out with, I believe she is already a winner and I am super proud of her. She's had an amazing journey. She was strong since day one and didn't require anybody's support. After my eviction, she did feel a little weak for a day or two but she bounced back and how! Reaching until the top 3 is in itself a very big deal".
