Junooniyatt Last Episode: Ankit Gupta REACTS As His Show Goes Off Air Next Month, Says 'Maybe There Are...'

Junooniyatt off air date: After weeks of speculation, it has been confirmed that Junooniyatt will end on Colors channel. The news spread like wildfire on the internet, leaving the ardent viewers shocked. The romantic drama starring Ankit Gupta, Neha Rana and Gautam Singh Vig was giving average ratings and there was a buzz that it would get an extension. However, the leading GEC has taken the decision to axe the show and replace it with a new fiction drama.
JUNOONIYATT LAST EPISODE
Filmibeat had earlier informed about readers about Doree replacing either Udaariyaan or Junooniyatt. The decision has been finalised. Junooniyatt will end in next two weeks, airing its last episode on November 3, 2023.
The show, which was shifted to the 9pm slot, will end in less than nine months on Colors channel. Both Udaariyaan and Junooniyatt were under the scanner because of low TRPs. A source earlier told us, "Doree will launch in November at a prime time slot. Udaariyaan and Junooniyatt are under scanner. Chances of Udaariyaan going off air or moving to the 6:30pm slot are higher. Junooniyatt is saved from the axe but if the numbers don't pick up, the channel might take a decision. Despite the massive twists and turns, the show is somehow stuck in 1.1-1.2 TRP range."
ANKIT GUPTA REACTS TO JUNOONIYAT GOING OFF AIR
After staying tight-lipped about his fiction show ending in nine months, Ankit Gupta finally reacted to the same. Breaking his silence on Junooniyatt's last episode, he said that the channel took the decision. He added that the GEC might have new shows lined-up and hence, it pulled the plug on Junooniyat.
Ankit Gupta, while interacting with a leading daily, called it an 'abrupt and overnight decision'. He stated he is shocked and one cannot say that the show is not performing well.
The Udaariyaan star said that the storyline is in place and he has no idea why the channel is pulling the plug on the romantic drama. He added that Junooniyatt is among the top five shows on the channel with the maximum time spent and hence, he is surprised to know about the show ending in two weeks. "Maybe there are other shows lined up and our time slot seems to be opportune for a new project," he told Times Of India.
It remains to be seen if Ankit Gupta will team up with Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary for a new project after Junooniyatt or not. The duo made waves with their sizzling chemistry in Udaariyaan and Bigg Boss 16.
