Ankit Gupta revealed that he was heartbroken when Priyanka Choudhary didn't win Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 16. The Junooniyatt actor shared how he felt when his Udaariyaan co-star couldn't lift the winner's trophy of BB 16.
Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Choudhary's sizzling chemistry in Bigg Boss 16 captured the attention of the netizens. The duo trended on Twitter throughout their stint in Salman Khan's reality show. While Ankit Gupta's eviction was deemed unfair by the viewers, Priyanka Choudhary's graceful exit received applauds from all the corners.
Interestingly, both Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankit Gupta didn't cry when they got evicted from Bigg Boss 16. While Ankit had to bid adieu to the BB 16 house after the housemates voted him out, Priyanka finished as the second runner-up of the show.
Priyanka Choudhary made a graceful exit from Bigg Boss 16 after Salman Khan announced his name during the grand finale. The TV diva didn't get emotional and left with a smile on her face. She was all cheerful when she met Salman on the stage, stating that she was glad she could reach top three of Bigg Boss 16.
I Was Heartbroken
Ankit Gupta, while interacting with a portal, revealed that he was heartbroken when Priyanka didn't win Bigg Boss 16. He stated that she would always remain the winner for him even though she couldn't lift the trophy of BB 16.
The Udaariyaan actor mentioned that he was shocked when Salman confirmed Priyanka's name as the second runner-up of the reality show.
What Ankit Said About Priyanka?
"It breaks my heart. All I wanted from Bigg Boss 16 is to give her the trophy. It did not happen. It was shocking as mujhe to ek hi cheez pata thi ki Priyanka is the winner. Mere liye vo hi winner hai. Jab nahi hua to it was shocking for me. I was heartbroken," Ankit told Pinkvilla. He also said that people should leave his and Priyanka's relationship to them and not engage in talking about their bond.
What's Next For Ankit Gupta?
Ankit Gupta is currently busy shooting for Junooniyatt, which also stars Neha Rana and Gautam Singh Vig. The actor is reportedly in talks for a new music video which will also feature Priyanka Choudhary.
While Ankit is stationed in Chandigarh, Priyanka is busy scouting for a new home in Mumbai as she is discussing projects with production houses in the Maximum City.
When Ankit Gupta Cried After Priyanka's Eviction
"I am very proud of her. But sir, bura iss baat ka lag raha hai ki, this is the first time vo apne liye kuch kar rahi thi. Main uss ghar me tha sirf uske liye. I never said I wanted to win. Main uss ghar mee jeetne ke liye nahi gaya tha. Main usko jeet te hue dekhna chahta tha," the actor had told Salman after the latter asked him if he was proud of Priyanka Chahar Choudhary's journey and her exit from the BB 16 house.
