‘I Can’t Go To People & Please…’: Ankita Lokhande On NOT Getting Film Offers Post Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika

New Delhi: Ankita Lokhnade is one of the most popular television faces. She became a household name after her stint in the 2009 Indian soap opera, Pavitra Rishta alongside late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Her role as Archana Deshmukh and her on-screen chemistry with Sushant received immense love from the audience. After ruling the hearts of the viewers with her television shows for quite a few years, Ankita tried her luck in the cinema industry.

Ankita Lokhande made her Bollywood debut with Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. Her performance in the film was appreciated, but unfortunately, she didn't get any film offers after that. Recently, during a candid conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the actress opened up on the same and said that she is not someone who would go and ask someone for work. She revealed that she doesn't have a godfather who would push her to that level.

Ankita Lokhande Says, 'I Don't Have A Godfather...'

The actress said, "After Manikarnika, I never got any scripts in my hand, kyunki, I don't have any godfather to push me to that level. I was talented, I know that but aapke pass aane bhi toh chahiye cheezein kuch mana karne ke liye. Mujhe aisa kuch nahi mila ki main bilkul ... na hum kehte hai we are great, aisa kabhi nahi tha ki mereko bohot scripts aa rahi hai and I am reading it."

She further added, "market bohot alag hai, nobody is coming to you and giving you scripts, you have to go, and I can't go to people and please them. I cannot go and ask for work, that's not me."

Meanwhile, Ankita got married to businessman Vicky Jain in a lavish ceremony in December 2021. Post-wedding, she has often expressed facing a dearth of work. Apart from Manikarnika, she has also featured in Baaghi 3.
