Anupamaa Leap: Barrister Babu Star To Play Grown-Up Choti Anu In Rupali Ganguly’s Show? DEETS Out

Anupamaa Leap Update: Produced by Director's Kut Productions, Rajan Shahi's production house, Anupamaa made its debut on Star Plus in 2020 and swiftly became a tremendous success. Starring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna as Anupama and Anuj respectively, this family drama consistently delivered impressive viewership numbers for the channel from the very start.

Sadly, things have changed with Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin surpassing Anupamaa in TRP ratings. Rupali Ganguly's beloved drama is no longer the reigning champion. Hence, the creative of Rajan Shahi's show is gearing up to introduce a series of plot twists and turns to reclaim the top position.

LEAP IN ANUPAMAA; ASMI DEO AKA CHOTI ANU TO EXIT

To attain the top spot on the TRP charts, the makers of Anupamaa have planned to introduce a five-year leap after which MaAn will be seen separated again and Anupama is set to finally get to America. Not only that, child artist Asmi Deo will no longer be a part of the top-rated Star Plus show after the leap. The cute actress won hearts for her portrayal of Choti Anu.

Currently, the track of Anupamaa revolves around Malti Devi provoking Choti Anu against Anupama and she starts believing that her mother doesn't love her. Choti Anu's hatred for Anupama is likely to play a pivotal role in MaAn's separation this time. While an official announcement regarding Asmi's exit is still awaited, loyal viewers will miss seeing her adorable scenes with Rupali and Gaurav.

AURRA BHATNAGAR AS TEENAGE CHOTI ANU POST LEAP?

However, Anupamaa makers have reportedly signed a talented TV star to essay the role of grown-up Choti Anu post-leap. Well, we're talking about Barrister Babu fame Aurra Bhatnagar Badoni. Yes, you read that right!

According to a Tellychakkar report, Aurra will be portraying the character of Little Anu. After the leap, Choti Anu will be in her teenage years, similar to Pakhi's age in the show's early episodes. But, it is not yet confirmed and an official announcement has not yet been made by the makers.

For those who are unaware, Aurra Bhatnagar is best known for essaying the lead role in the popular Colors show Barrister Babu opposite Pravisht Mishra. She was last seen in the show's sequel titled Durga Aur Charu.
