Anupamaa’s Rupali Reveals Why She Felt Like Failed Mother

Rupali Ganguly is an actress who doesn't need an introduction in the telly world. She has successfully carved a niche for herself and won hearts with her acting prowess. As of now, Rupali is grabbing eyeballs with her popular show Anupamaa which has been ruling the TRP charts for months now. While Rupali has managed to leave a mark on the audience with her onscreen performances, the actress recently opened up about her personal life and how she felt like a failed mother for not being able to breastfeed her son.

During her interview with the Times of India, Rupali asserted that while she had a very smooth pregnancy, she did not lactate.The Anupama actress even recalled how people came with advice and how she felt the pressure of breastfeeding her child failing which she ended up judging herself. "People come to give you advice. I did not lactate and it is fine. I want to tell all the mothers. I totally killed and judged myself, I felt like a failed mother over it that I can't even feed my baby. I psyched myself completely," she added.

Meanwhile, Rupali is full of gratitude to get a chance to play Anupama in Anupamaa and said that the show gave her a second lease of life as according to the actress people started knowing her post the family drama. She even went on to credit her son and husband for her success. "My son did cry and misses me a lot. I can't get over my mother's guilt," she added. However, Rupali does make sure to be with her son on all special occasions and finding a balance between her personal and professional life.

Talking about Anupamaa, the show is witnessing some interesting twists wherein Anupama (played by Rupali) and Anuj Kapadia (played by Gaurav Khanna) have parted ways which has left everyone shocked. It will be interesting to see how their story will unfold in the coming days.
