Anupamaa Update: Rajan Shahi's top-rated Star Plus show, featuring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna in the lead roles, has been regularly making headlines. Currently, the track revolves around Anupama and Anuj Kapadia's separation.

Anuj has left the Kapadia mansion as he's blaming Anupama for not letting him fight against Maya for the sake of their daughter Choti Anu. Gaurav Khanna has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs for his character's recent outbursts.

Even fans are surprised with this new avatar of Anuj who's mostly seen calm and composed in difficult situations. Interestingly, the character is even receiving criticism from fans and some are even comparing him to Vanraj Shah.

In a recent interview, the actor opened up if he's calm like Anuj in real life or not. Gaurav, who has been married to actress Akansha Chamola for seven years, stated that he is just like any other normal person.

However, he admitted that he can get competitive while playing games with his wife or friends and can lose his cool if he loses the game. Talking about it, he told ETimes, "I am like any other normal human being. Just because I look calm, it does not mean that I don't lose my cool sometimes. If I am playing a game with my wife or friend, and if I lose, I will lose my cool because I am competitive. So also, there are disagreements in every household and I react to any situation like a regular person would. And I think that's very normal."

Gaurav went on to talk about his character Anuj and his behavior towards his wife Anupama. He emphasized that Anuj's character is going through a tough time emotionally, having lost his daughter Anu to her biological mother. He defended Anuj's behavior by stating that it is normal for people to react differently in various situations, even if they are calm and mature.
