Anupamaa: Rupali Ganguly Touches Rajan Shahi's Feet At Birthday Celebrations, Talks About Viral Vendor Scene

Popular TV actress Rupali Ganguly is basking in the success of her show Anupamaa, which has been created by Rajan Shahi. The Bengali beauty believes that the hit daily soap has created quite a movement in the country. The 46-year-old stated that women have learnt to stand up for themselves because of Anupamaa.
Rupali mentioned that her show has played a big cultural role in the country as there are many women, who came up to her and said that they learnt self-love because of Anupamaa.
"This is a very big thing because we are just faces but the man who created the show is Rajan Shahi. This is his vision and his confidence that he brought a 42-year-old woman on the screen. He brought a show called Anupama through her. He introduced the story of a housewife who was frustrated with her husband, in-laws and children. To bring this story at this time, Rajan ji took a very big risk," Rupali said in a podcast.
The Parvarish actress also spoke about the viral scene where her character talked about not bargaining with small vendors. She stated that the scene went viral on the internet, emphasising that makers have incorporated such scenes in Anupamaa.
She added, "We have spoken about things like that we should not bargain with small vendors and I think that particular clip went viral. Then in a way ordination, culture, the importance of worship is told through this show, so all this is a work of Rajan ji."
Rupali touched the feet of Rajan Shahi, expressing her gratitude towards her producer at the recent birthday celebration on the set. It is a rare gesture by an actress for the top producer in India.
Anupamaa co-starring Sudhanshu Pandey, Gaurav Khanna, Madalsa Sharma, Nidhi Shah ad Ashlesha Savant airs everyday on Star Plus at 10pm. It is the number one show across all channels on Indian television.
