Anupamaa Update: The Star Plus show Anupamaa, produced by Rajan Shahi's Director's Kut Productions, has captured the hearts of viewers since its debut in 2020. Starring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna in the beloved roles of Anupama and Anuj Kapadia, this family drama has consistently performed well on the TRP charts since its inception.

Every now and then, the creators of Anupamaa introduce various plot twists to keep their dedicated fans engaged and entertained. Currently, the show's storyline is revolving around the aftermath of Samar's death and Anupama fighting for justice against Sonu. While Samar's demise was supposed to be the most shocking twist to boost the ratings, it has worked against the makers' plan.

SAGAR PAREKH AKA SAMAR ON DIP IN ANUPAMAA TRPs

We're saying so because Anupamaa has lost its top spot to Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin in the TRP list and was in the third spot last week. Amid all this, Sagar Parekh aka Samar opened up about the decrease in the show's ratings after the death of his beloved character.

Talking about why the current track of Anupamaa is not getting the favourable response, Sagar told ETimes, "People are disconnected right now because they are not able to digest the fact that Samar has gone. Secondly, it will be difficult to replace a similar mother-son bond in the show again. And I also feel that it is quite challenging for writers to come up with strong and fresh content. I am sure the makers have a plan and they will continue to keep the viewers engaged."

For those who are unaware, Anuj's mother Malti Devi has decided to separate Anupama and her son as she feels that the former focuses more on the Shah family. Amid all this, Anupamaa asks Babuji and Baa to come with her and live in the Shah house. As her decision irks Malti Devi, multiple clashes are going on between Baa and Malti Devi.

Now, it'll be interesting to see if the ongoing track of Malti Devi planning for MaAn's separation will work in the show's favour or not.
