Earlier, gossip mills suggested that Neena Gupta and Kirron Kher will enter Anupamaa, acting as her support system. However, Filmibeat was the first portal to squash those rumours. "Contrary to the rumours floating on the internet, Neena Gupta and Kirron Kher are not entering Anupamaa. In fact, there's no new entry in the show. Anupamaa's mother is expected to make a comeback to support her amid the tussle in life. Neena and Kirron have not been approached to play significant roles in Anupamaa," a source had told Filmibeat.

Anupamaa co-starring Sudhanshu Pandey, Ashlesha Savant, Nidhi Shah and Chhavi Pandey airs everyday on Star Plus. It is the Hindi remake of Bengali drama Sreemoyee, which beamed on Star Jalsha.
Anupamaa has been topping the TRP charts since a long time and this week was no different. It dominated the ratings list, securing the number one position with a TVR of 2.9.
