Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul producers have been on the lookout for the new leads of the show after Tunisha Sharma's demise and Sheezan Khan's arrest in connection with her death case. While gossip mills suggested that Abhishek Nigam will replace Sheezan Khan as the new male lead in the fantasy-based show, there was no official confirmation about the new female lead.

If the recent buzz is to believed, the makers have approached a popular TV star to replace Tunisha Sharma as the new Mariam post her unfortunate demise. Yes, you read that right! Speculations are rife that Avneet Kaur is in talks with the production house to play the female lead.

According to a report in a portal, Avneet Kaur, who has featured in several hit shows, has been locked to play the new female lead in Ali Baba. If things go as planned, Avneet and Abhishek Nigam will be sharing screen space for the first time in a TV show, the report in Tellychakkar said.

The producers of Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul have not released an official statement about the replacement of Tunisha Sharma. There are also reports that the makers will continue without a female lead and instead focus on Abhishek Nigam.

Avneet Kaur, who is currently stationed in the UAE, is focusing on making a name in Bollywood. She will make her debut into Hindi cinema with Tiku Weds Sheru, which has been produced by Kangana Ranaut.

Tiku Weds Sheru, which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Avneet also has a couple of exciting projects in her kitty and it remains to be seen if she will agree to do a TV show or not.

Sources close to the show have suggested that Siddharth Nigam's elder brother Abhishek Nigam has been confirmed to replace Sheezan Khan. As the episode bank is over, the makers are keen to commence the shoot once again with new leads.

Abhishek Nigam, who played the lead role in Hero - Gayab Mode On, has not confirmed the rumours about his entry in the Sony SAB show.

Earlier this week, Shafaq Naaz and Falaq Naaz, sisters of Sheezan, conducted a press conference and answered questions related to the case. They claimed that their brother was innocent and he had a mutual break-up with Tunisha Sharma. The actor's advocate alleged that Tunisha's mom broker her phone and even tried to strangulate her.
