Recently, the hit daily soap took a generation leap after which Shakti Arora and Bhavika Sharma replaced Neil Bhatt and Ayesha Singh as the new leads of GHKKPM.

It's been just a few weeks ever since the new cast entered Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and the show has been getting a positive response so far. However, the loyal viewers are still missing seeing their favourites - Neil and Ayesha aka SaiRat.

While the duo is yet to announce their next project, Ayesha Singh has been actively giving interviews and is making headlines regularly. In a new interview, the actress revealed getting rejected for a hit Colors TV show before bagging Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Well, the show was Nirmit Kaur Ahluwalia starrer Choti Sarrdaarni. Yes, you read that right!

AYESHA SIGH REVEALS GETTING REJECTED FOR CHOTI SARRDAARNI

Revealing the same, Ayesha told Tellychakkar, "Before Ghum (Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin), the same production house, Choti Sarrdaarni ka maine audition diya tha. That is how they had my audition, unki cassette mein. I had given audition for Choti Sarrdaarni and then unke paas woh audition tape raha hoga toh unhone jab Ghum Kashmir based tha, different name the Sai ka, Sheen naam tha Sai ka. Toh tab unhone bulaya, wo tape dekh kar, Choti Sarrdaarni ka tape dekh kar. I had auditioned a couple of times, there was Saket sir, he was the creative director then. Unko thoda Punjabi, thoda waisa, you know how Nimrit (Kaur Ahluwalia) is, full Punjabi. She looks Punjabi only. That never happened. Uski jagah then GHKKPM happened."

On being asked if she thinks losing Choti Sardaarni turned out to be good for her, the actress added, "Absolutely. Jo bhi hota hai wo achhe ke liye hi hota hai."
