BARC TRP Ratings week 8, 2023: Colors channel has defeated Star Plus in the TRP race while Anupamaa, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin suffered a drop in the numbers in the current week.
BARC TRP Ratings for week 8 of 2023 have been finally released. All eyes were on the ratings for different shows like Junooniyatt, Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal and Molkki 2, which were launched on February 13. While Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal and Junooniyatt performed decently, Molkki 2 failed to strike a chord with the audience in the first week. This week things are a little different.

Anupamaa, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and Yeh Hai Chahatein, which raked in good ratings in week 7, has suffered a fall in numbers in the current week. As BARC released the ratings for different GECs, fans expressed their excitement on seeing a new TRP topper.
For the first time in years, Colors channel managed to beat Star Plus in the TRP race. Yes, you read that right! The Viacom 18-owned channel defeated Star Plus to emerge as the second most-watched GEC in the Hindi speaking market. Dangal secured the first spot while Zee TV, Sony SAB and Sony TV lagged behind.
How Colors And Star Plus Performed?
Colors channel became the most preferred choice in Delhi while Dangal ruled in states like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Chhattisgarh. Star Plus failed to secure the top spot in Gujarat as Colors channel took the number two spot while Goldmines bagged the numero uno position.
Top 10 Channels List
Dangal TV, Sun TV and Goldmines emerged as the top three channels across the country. Star Maa took the fourth spot while Colors channel claimed the fifth spot. In a shocking turn of events, Star Plus was shunted to the sixth spot while Zee TV failed to find a spot in the list of top ten shows in India.
Which Shows Topped The Charts?
According to BARC, Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai decreased this week while Naagin 6 found a spot in the list of top ten shows. Junooniyatt and Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal registered a marginal rise in numbers in the latest week.
