Barsaatein: Shivangi Joshi's NEW Show With Kushal Tandon Has SPECIAL Connection With Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Ha

Shivangi Joshi new show: TV's Naira aka Shivangi Joshi is all set to entertain the audience with a new project. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress will be seen romancing Kushal Tandon in Ekta Kapoor's upcoming drama. All eyes are on the show as it features two of the most loved stars on Indian television.

EKTA KAPOOR LIKED SHIVANGI JOSHI CAMEO IN BEKABOO

Shivangi was seen in a special appearance in Bekaboo, setting the tone of the story. Ekta Kapoor, who produces the show, liked her work and offered her a weekday drama on Sony Entertainment Television.

"Shivangi fits the bill perfectly for the role of a journalist. She is one of the most popular actresses on television, and we believe that she is the right person for the character that we have envisioned. Ekta Kapoor ma'am liked her cameo in Bekaboo," a source earlier told Filmibeat.

SHIVANGI JOSHI'S SHOW GETS A TITLE

According to a report in Tellychakkar, the show has been titled Barsaatein. It will hit the airwaves from next month on Sony TV at a prime time slot, most probably replacing Katha Ankahee that stars Adnaan Khan and Aditi Dev Sharma.

When we asked our source about the same, he shared an interesting update. "The tentative title of the show is Barsaatein and it will have a fresh storyline, different than the run-of-the-mill soaps on telly. As the title suggests, it will be launched at the right time, during monsoons, signifying the theme of the drama. Shivangi and Kushal's new avatars will definitely leave the audience awestruck," the source quipped.

The Balika Vadhu 2 actress made waves on the small screen with her sizzling chemistry with Mohsin Khan in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The duo created ripples on the TRP charts with their scorching on-screen romance.

Shivangi and Mohsin left the show after the makers introduced a generation leap in YRKKH, paving way for Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod. If the recent buzz is to be believed, Shivangi and Kushal's new show has a special connection with her previous project.
