Filmibeat had earlier informed our readers about the new entry in Barsatein. Ayesha Singh and Neil Bhatt's co-star has joined the daily soap, which replaced Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3. The Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actress will add the much-needed tadka in the show. She will be seen as Simba Nagpal's on-screen in Barsaatein.

Sheetal Maulik opened up about her new entry in Barsatein serial, sharing traits about her character. She confirmed that she is playing the role of Neeta Khurana, who is Jay Khurana's mother. The Ghum Hai actress expressed her excitement on joining the show, stating that her character has many layers and she was waiting to essay such a role. The Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai actress said that her role is different than that of Sonali Chavan (GHKPM).

Neeta will have a major role in the show as she might affect Reyansh and Aradhana's relationship. Talking about the character, Sheetal Maulik told India Forums that Neeta means 'only serious business' and she doesn't shy away from expressing her opinion.
