If the recent buzz is to be believed, Shivangi Joshi has bagged a new show. The Begusarai actress, who played a cameo role in Ekta Kapoor's Bekaboo, is said to be in the race to essay the lead role in one of the shows which will be produced by Balaji Telefilms. Yes, you read that right!

According to a report in a portal, Ekta Kapoor is bringing a new show on Sony TV that will focus on the story of journalist. The casting team has approached Shivangi to play the role of a journalist. If she accepts the role, the Balika Vadhu 2 actress will be seen in different role.

The story will showcase the story of a hardworking and independent girl. A source close to the show told India Forums that the makers are in talks with Dishar Parmar and Shivangi Joshi for the upcoming project. Shivangi Joshi stands a better chance to bag the meaty role in the daily soap that will air on Sony Entertainment Television, the report added.

Interestingly, Disha Parmar worked with Ekta Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, which also starred Nakuul Mehta. The Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaar actress quit the romantic drama after it took a generation leap.
