‘Nobody Misses Them’: Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai’s Aasif Sheikh On Shilpa Shinde, Saumya Tandon Quitting The Show

Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai: The popular sitcom Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai has completed 8 long years of its successful run. The characters of the show are a huge hit among the viewers. The show started with Aasif Sheikh, Rohitashv Gaur, Shilpa Shinde, and Saumya Tandon as the lead in the story which revolves around two neighbors, who continuously interfere in each others' affairs. The show is loosely inspired by the popular 90's comedy show, Shrimaan Shrimati.

AASHIF SHEIKH TALKS ABOUT SHILPA SHINDE & SAUMYA TANDON QUITTING THE SHOW

While Aashif and Rohitashv continue to entertain the viewers for the last eight years, Shilpa and Saumya left the show mid-way. Now, Aashif has spoken up about the actors who have left the show and said that 'nobody misses them'.

During an interaction with Etimes, he said, "Nobody misses anyone. I am sorry nobody misses people who have left the show. People who have joined in now, the audience loves them and appreciates them. I strongly feel that in Bhabhi Ji no artist is indispensable. Our content is so strong that they watch the show for the substance. Artists are definitely important, but nobody is indispensable. I will say the same thing about myself."

Aashif further added that his fans message him saying they will stop watching Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai if he quits, but he is well aware that nothing of this sort will ever happen. He says that people don't watch the show for an artist they watch it for the content. Calling the audience of Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain 'loyal', he added that the team of the show too takes the comments of the viewers very seriously and works around them.

For the unversed, Shilpa Shinde left in 2016 and was replaced by Shubhangi Atre Poorey to essay the character of Angoori Bhabhi. Saumya Tandon quit in the year 2020 and her gap was filled by Neha Pends, who also quit the show in 2022. Now, Vidissha is seen essaying the role of Anita Bhabhi in the comedy sitcom.
