Bigg Boss 16: Ankit Gupta Talks About Getting Emotional Post Priyanka’s Elimination; Says ‘I Couldn’t Accept…’

Priyanka Chahar Choudhary has been one of the most talked about contestants of Bigg Boss 16 and there are no second thoughts about it. While she was touted to be the probable contender for the winner's trophy, Priyanka emerged as the second runner up on the popular reality show. Her elimination came as a shock not just for her fans but also for Ankit Gupta who broke into tears after her eviction was announced. Needless to say, Ankit's reaction melted millions of hearts. And now, the Junooniyatt actor has finally opened up about his breakdown and said that he wasn't expecting Priyanka's elimination.

Talking to India Forums, Ankit stated, "Well, It was quite unexpected for me and I couldn't accept the fact that she's coming out as a second runner-up and thus I got a little emotional. Everybody knows that she deserved it. She was winning almost every poll and contest and thus the results took time to sink in. However, looking at the grace that she came out with, I believe she is already a winner and I am super proud of her. She's had an amazing journey. She was strong since day one and didn't require anybody's support. After my eviction, she did feel a little weak for a day or two but she bounced back and how! Reaching until the top 3 is in itself a very big deal".

Meanwhile, talking about the work front, Ankit Gupta is now gearing up for the premiere of his upcoming show Junooniyatt. The musical love drama will also star Gautam Vig and Neha Rana in the lead and will be going on air on February 13 this year. Interestingly, as fans have been looking forward to Ankit and Priyanka's onscreen reunion, Junooniyatt actress Gurvinder Kaur had spilled beans the Udaariyaan actress will be a part of the show.

She stated, "Ye to makers ka call hai because sach me hume kuch nahi pta hota. Hume to apne baare me hi nahi pata hota. Baki story me turn and twist daily soap me humesha aate rehte hain. Isme humesha kisi ke aane ki kisi ke chale jaane ki gunjaish bani rehti hai. Jaise ki Udaariyaan me shuru me har din naya turn naya twist aata tha.
