Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is in huge demand ever since she came out of Colors TV's hit reality show Bigg Boss 16, hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The grand finale was helped eight days ago, on February 12, and the actress was declared as the second runner-up.
While the sixteenth season of Bigg Boss made her a household name, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary first rose to fame after playing the lead role of Tejo in Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta's Udaariyaan.
Co-starring Ankit Gupta and Isha Malviya, the show turned out to be a huge hit on the TRP charts and fans loved the onscreen chemistry between Fateh and Tejo.

In an interview with First India Spotlight, Bigg Boss 16 finalist Priyanka Chahar Choudhary spoke about struggling to establish herself in showbiz. Well, she quit acting and thought about becoming a makeup artist before Udaariyaan.

Talking about her struggle to make it big in the entertainment world, Priyanka said, "Bohot rejections, bohot struggle tha. Definitely tha, kyunki mujhe jab Udaariyaan mila tha, I remember, main acting chhod ke wapas Jaipur chali gayi thi. Mujhe lag gaya tha beta tera acting mei kuch hona hai nahi. Don't waste your time, you need to earn money, kyunki kuch cheezein hai, responsibilities hai, wo aapko poori bhi karni hai. See, hard work karne mei kabhi peeche nahi rahi. Mai saare auditions deti thi mai, par aata nahi tha aisa kuch confirmation ka call. Aata bhi tha toh chota mota kuch kiya hai jo but as such kuch wo nahi."

Before cracking Udaariyaan, Priyanka packed her bags and went back to her hometown. While she was thinking about turning into a make-up artist, the actress got a call for Udaariyaan which proved to be a major turning point in her career.

Revealing that she was underconfident after bagging the show, Priyanka added, "Aur jab Udaariyaan bhi mujhe mila, trust me, I was like ki mujhe lead mei show de rahe hai pata nahi kya hi hoga. Kyunki itna bharosa raha nahi tha, ki kuch mil hi nahi raha tha. I was like pata nahi ab ye risk le rahe hai shayad first show hai isiliye. But, I was very sure ki ye aise hi kuch normal sa hi banaenge agar mujhe lead mei le rahe hai. But, luckily, hardwork ki wajah se bole ya jo bhi bole, aur sirf mera nahi puri team ka, even Ravi sir and Sargun mam, they all are very hardworking people. Sabki mehnat waha par lagi hai uss ek project mei and wo superhit hua, matlab bohot achha gaya hai. So, waha se its just all started aur uske baad se toh it's all in front of you, Bigg Boss."
