Bigg Boss 16 Finalist Shalin Talks About Friendship With Sumbul Touqeer, Says ‘I’m Very Proud Of My…’

Shalin Bhanot made his TV debut with MTV Roadies 2 as a contestant in 2004 and went on to feature in many popular shows. However, Colors TV's Bigg Boss 16 made him a household and proved to be a turning point in his career.

He entered the controversial reality show, hosted by Salman Khan, in October last year and made headlines since the beginning. From his friendship with Sumbul Touqeer Khan to love angle Tina Datta, the actor continuously grabbed eyeballs during his 4-month-long stint.

On February 12, the sixteenth season of Bigg Boss finally ended with Shalin Bhanot being eliminated at the fifth position in the grand finale. Ever since the show has ended, the actor is busy giving interesting.

Recently, he talked about his friendship with Sumbul and Tina inside the Bigg Boss 16 and revealed if he thought that love angle would help him in the journey.

Revealing the same, Shalin told ETimes, "I don't function like that. If I was so desperate to be on the show, I wouldn't have announced that I wanted to leave weeks before the finale. The show is beautiful, but the people inside create ugly situations. I never had any game plan and I have not said anything derogatory about anyone."

Talking about his bonds on the show, he added, "I am proud of my friendship with Sumbul, she is a nice girl. Tina and I were friends, too. She was caring and nice to me. We were trying to understand each other, and whatever happened was very organic. Whatever there was between us was real, and I won't give it a tag. However, I realised that every friendship that I had forged in the house was backfiring. So, after a point, I just wanted to co-exist happily with everybody and not become friends."

Well, all three of them have now moved on in their lives and wish to focus on their careers right now. Interestingly, Shalin has already bagged the lead role in Ekta Kapoor's upcoming Colors show based on Beauty And The Beast titled Beqaboo.
