Shiv Thakare's sister Manisha Thakare revealed that their mother broke down into tears as he suffered an eye infection during the task. She said that she had to console her mother and father, who got emotional after seeing the way Archana Gautam targeted Shiv Thakare in the torture task.
"Aai dekhke rone lagi jab Archana ne uspar haldi dala aur baad mein jab Shiv ko eye infection hogya. Aai apne aansu nhi rok paayi aur maine apna phone katke unko chup karaya. Aai ko kafi dukh hua tha Shiv ke saath torture task me ye sab hua," Manisha exclusively told Filmibeat.

Manisha Thakare stated that her mother assumed Archana Gautam would stop targeting Shiv Thakare after she asked her to play the game in a decent manner.
"Aai ko laga ki Archana Gautam ko unhone pyaar se samjhaya hai toh ab vo Shiv ke saath ache se rahegi. Task pe ye sab hota rehta hai lekin Aai ko dukh hua ki Archana ne gusse me task kiya. Shiv ko bebas dekh Aayi bhi royi aur fir maine sab kaam chodkar unko samjhaya," Manisha said.

"Aai has one message for Shiv- to stay strong and not let negativity affect him. She is proud of the way he has conducted himself in the BB 16 house. Our relatives and neighbours have told us that they are so glad to see him play the game in the best manner," Manisha added.

Shiv Thakare's mother requested the netizens to vote for him and make him the winner of Bigg Boss 16. She said that she would urge everyone to vote for Shiv in huge numbers as he is playing the game quite well and deserves to win.
