Bigg Boss 17 update: Ankita Lokhande spoke about her breakup with Sushant Singh Rajput in the latest episode of Bigg Boss season 17. The actress, while interacting with Munawar Faruqui, revealed that she was devasted following her break up with the late actor. For the unversed, Ankita and Sushant parted ways in 2016 after being in a relationship for a long time.

Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput fell in love on the sets of Pavitra Rishta. The duo played the lead roles in the hit daily soap. Their breakup in 2016 set several tongues and became the talk of the town as they were considered one of the most loved couples in telly town.

The two stars had called it quits after being in a relationship for seven years. Sushant had supported his former girlfriend when reports labelled her as an 'alcoholic' and him as a 'womanizer'. "Neither she was an alcoholic, nor I am a womaniser. People do grow apart and its unfortunate, Period (sic)," SSR had tweeted on May 4, 2016.

WHAT ANKITA SAID ABOUT SUSHANT?

In the recent episode of BB 17, Ankita opened up about her separation with Sushant, who passed away in June 2023. She said that she was devastated after she had split with the Kedarnath actor and event her parents were upset. "Uska jaana ek alag cheez thi. Main tut gyi, mere maa baap tut gye," Ankita told Munawar inside the Bigg Boss 17 house.

"Main kahi involved nahi thi, fir bhi main khadi hui because main chahti ki log jaane vo kaun tha. Log tab kaha the, jab mera breakup chal raha tha. Main vo phase akele gujazara. There was no reason for breakup. El raat mein cheeze change hui meri life mein. Mera concern tha ki mujhe batakar cheezein karta, to mujhe pata rehta. Uski aankhon mein dikhne lag gya ki koi cheez nahi hai," Ankita said when Munawar asked her about the breakup reason with Sushant Singh Rajput.
