Amid their growing bond, a report in a leading daily has set several tongues wagging. It said that Avinash and Shafaq once dated each other after they fell in love on the sets Teri Meri Love Stories. The duo has worked together in the drama series, which aired on Star Plus.

It was Avinash, who backed out from the relationship after dating the Mahabharat actress for six months. They were together for half a year, the report in ETimes said, mentioning that breakup happened after Avinash decided to part ways.

The actress started her career with a small role in Bidaau. After working in shows like Adaalat, Teri Meri Love Stories, she found success when she appeared as Kunti in Mahabharat which starred Shaheer Sheikh, Pooja Sharma and Sourabh Raaj Jain. She became a household name after playing a popular character in the mytho-drama. She also won hearts with her role of Mayuri in Chidiyaghar where she replaced Debina Bonnerjee. Her bold s*x scenes in Halala created ripples on the internet.

After the web series premiered on an OTT platform, the actress revealed that she was flooded with similar offers but she politely declined all of them as she wanted to do meaningful shows and projects.

On the professional front, Shafaq Naaz was last seen on the small screen as Shruti in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin when it starred Ayesha Singh, Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma.
