Bigg Boss Marathi 4 winner Akshay Kelkar has been hogging all the limelight ever since he lifted the trophy in the star-studded grand finale that took on Sunday (January 8) in Mumbai. The actor defeated four other finalists to win the reality show that was hosted by Mahesh Manjrekar.

Akshay managed to emerge as the winner of Bigg Boss Marathi season 4 by beating the likes of Apurva, Kiran, Amruta and Rakhi Sawant. His journey was full of ups and downs but the actor continued to stay strong till the last minute.

Akshay Kelkar shot to fame after playing the lead role of Suresh in Nima Denzongpa, which aired on Colors channel from August 23, 2021 to September 2, 2022. He was paired opposite Surabhi Das in the social drama.

Akshay also starred in films like Don Cutting 2, Madhuri and Takatak 2. He also worked in shows like Bhakharwadi, Crime Petrol and Kamala. The actor started his career with Marathi drama Be Duna Daha in the year 2013 and later went on to feature in other shows.

Akshay Kelkar, who was born in Thane, is 5'8 feet tall. The actor celebrates his birthday on March 16 and his huge win has come as a pre-birthday gift for him. It was his childhood dream to become an art director and hence, he decided to work as an assistant art director in Marathi cinema.

Akshay took home a cash prize of Rs 15.50 lakh along with a gold bracelet. He also got a cheque of Rs 5 lakh for being the 'Best Captain of Bigg Boss Marathi 4' house. The talented actor has not revealed how he will spend the winning prize money after coming out of the BB Marathi 4 house.
