Bigg Boss OTT 2 Update: Hosted by Salman Khan, the second season of Bigg Boss OTT finally premiered on Jio Cinema last week and with each passing day, the show is getting more interesting and entertaining.
Many well-known names entered the Bigg Boss house last week and kickstarted their six-week journey in the controversial reality show. Well, one of them is TV star Akanksha Puri. From her closeness with co-contestant Jad Hadid to her fight with Bebika Dhurve, the actress has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs ever since the first day of Bigg Boss OTT 2.
While Akanksha has been a part of many popular TV shows including Vighnaharta Ganesh and Swayamavar - Mika Di Vohti, did you know she has been a part of several South films as well? In fact, she made her Bollywood debut back in 2015, even before making a mark for herself on the small screen.
WHEN AKANKSHA PURI FLAUNTED BIKINI BOD IN HER FIRST HINDI FILM
Akanksha Puri initially made her acting debut with a 2013 Tamil film titled Alex Pandian and went on to do Tollywood movies like Praise the Lord (Malayalam), Lodde (Kannada), and Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander (Malayalam).
In 2015, she finally bagged Madhur Bhandarkar's Calendar Girls which marked her debut in the Hindi film industry. Also starring Avani Modi, Ruhi Singh, Kyra Dutt, and Rohit Roy among others in pivotal roles, the film revolves around five beautiful girls hailing from different parts of India who gets select to pose for the country's most prestigious annual calendar.
Akanksha Puri, who essayed one of the five protagonists in Calendar Girls, had several bikini scenes in the film and she totally nailed her part in it. You can take a glimpse of her bikini avatar in this song from Calendar Girls:
JOURNEY OF AKANKSHA PURI IN BIGG BOSS OTT 2 SO FAR
In the introduction video, Akanksha Puri was introduced with the title 'Teekhi Puri' in the show. However, the panelists thought that she isn't being real and put her on hold initially.
After her entry inside the Bigg Boss house, most of her housemates found her fake when she cried as others weren't getting enough food. During the recent Weekend Ka Vaar, host Salman Khan too slammed her for setting 'fake narratives' against Bebika Dhurve.
However, in s surprising turn of events, she got saved from getting nomination for eviction this week and it'll be interesting to see how she's going to perform on the show in the coming days.
