While the Bigg Boss OTT 2 'deserving winner' controversy might have set several tongues wagging, Elvish Yadav and Abhishek Malhan have proved that their friendship will continue to remain strong.

The controversy started when Jiya Shankar and Elvish Yadav had a reunion. The duo had a blast while meeting each other after a month of BB finale. However, their conversation captured the attention of the netizens. In a viral clip, they were seen talking about the 'deserving winner' of the show. Abhishek Malhan fans believed that they took a dig at him in the conversation.

Jiya Shankar issued a statement to squash the rumours, stating that she never intended to hurt anyone. She got brutally trolled and hence, had to release a statement to put an end to the rumours.

"Crazy how some people are still fighting on the internet and spreading hate! I tend to laugh on things easily that's in my nature anyway since "some" of you needed to hear it from me - that was a taunt for me too since I've said it many times publicly that deserved to win. As if this would make any difference go ahead say what you want to! Rest it's not my fight, not my words! But still want to spread hate? Go ahead waste your energy on stupid things. Love you too," she said in her statement.

Amid the controversy, Elvish Yadav is winning hearts with his sweet gesture for Abhishek Malhan and Jiya Shankar. He created a reel on Instagram to promote AbhiYa's music video Judaiyaan.

Abhishek and Jiya's chemistry has already created ripples on the internet, generating a massive response from the audience.

On a related note, Elvish Yadav, Jiya Shankar and Abhishek Malhan are busy with their respective projects and they are not participating in Bigg Boss 17. Contrary to the rumours, they won't be making an appearance on the show.
