Jiya Shankar has been the talk of the town ever since she entered Bigg Boss OTT 2 as a contestant. She has been grabbing eyeballs with her fashion goals int the popular reality show. Besides, her love-hate equation with former BFF Palak Purswani has also got the tongues wagging.

And while fans are loving watching Jiya on Bigg Boss OTT 2, the actress is making headlines for a shocking revelation about her childhood. This revelation was made in an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla ahead of her participation in the reality show and it has sent a shiver down everyone's spine.

During the interview, Jiya revealed that her family doctor molested her during her teens during her parents' separation. Recalling the horrific incident, she said, "I was harassed or molested by my own family doctor. When I was in 10th, literally I had my board exams the next day. But I fell sick. Obviously, he was my family doctor so I went to him naturally. But my father was not there with me which he always used to be".

She further asserted, "He was like 'Where is he?'. I was a kid. How would I know that he would take advantage of the situation if I tell him that my mom and dad are no longer together? Because I told him they are separated now, he took advantage of that". Jiya also emphasised that it was the most disturbing phase of her life.

But this isn't all. Jiya also shared how she had to go through the torture again when she reached the police station to take action against the accused. "I went to the police station. I was a little girl and I was asked all these embarrassing details and for me, it was too much. And to go through that over and over again. I was very confused like 'Why do I have to tell them everything in detail'. That was another to go through. But you have to go through a few things to fight with the devil," she added.

As of now, Jiya is the talk of the town as she is in the danger zone on Bigg Boss OTT 2. For the uninitiated, Jiya has been nominated for elimination in the first week along with Avinash Sachdev, Palak Purswani and Bebika Dhurve. It will be interesting to see if she manages to escape the elimination this week.
