Charu Asopa Casting Couch Experience: Charu Asopa, known for her roles in various television serials has recently shared a harrowing experience of facing casting couch during the early days of her career.

After grabbing headlines due to her highly publicized divorce with ex-husband Rajeev Sen, Charu Asopa has focused on her work and her motherly responsibilities to her 18-month-old daughter, Ziana.

Now, during an interview with ETimes, she mustered the courage to open up about an incident that shook her completely when she was just starting her career in the entertainment industry.

Recalling the unfortunate incident, Charu shared that when she was around 20-21 years old, she had a meeting with a producer from a big production house. The casting director, she described, had laid out a contract in front of her of an opportunity that could jumpstart her career. However, what transpired next shook her to the core.

She recalled, "I went for a movie meeting during that phase and met a producer from a very well-known production house. The casting director kept the contract in front of me, I had a pen in my hand, and I could have signed the contract and bagged the opportunity. It was a very big film."

The actress added, "Par joh baat kahi casting director ne Uske baad Mujhe 3 din tak bukhar he nahi Uttra (But I fell ill after listening to what the casting director said to me). I told him with folded hands, I won't be able to do what he is asking. He told me that's fine, Tum nahi karogi toh bahar joh ladkiyaan baithi hai woh kar dengi (If you don't do it, there are other girls sitting outside they will do it) ... I told him sir okay then please you can get it done from them."

She further revealed when insisted, "He asked me to compromise with a few people he knew. I turned it down straight. It was very heartbreaking for me. I always felt people just make stories because they are unable to get into the industry. But when it happened to me I realised the truth and felt itne bade level par bhi aisi baatein hoti hai..."

Meanwhile, she is currently seen in 'Kaisa Hai Ye Rishta Anjanasa'.
