Comedian Khyali Saharan Of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Booked For Rape In Jaipur

Khyali Saharan: The popular stand-up comedian Khyali Saharan has been reportedly booked for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman, in Jaipur. A case was registered on Tuesday at the Manasarovar police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by the woman. As per the police, the comedian was in "inebriated condition" when he allegedly raped the woman in a hotel room in the Mansarovar area on the pretext of a job opportunity.

Case Against Khyali Saharan

The sub-inspector of Mansarovar police station, Sandeep Yadav said that "A case under IPC Section 376 (rape) has been registered against the comedian following a complaint lodged by the woman. The matter is being investigated."

The woman who was raped reportedly hail from Sri Ganganagar and worked as a marketing executive for a firm. The police said that the Great Indian Laughter Challenge fame had booked two rooms in a hotel, one for himself and the other for two women, who reportedly came in contact with him a month ago seeking help landing a job. Khyali got drunk after consuming beer and even forced the women to drink beer. Later, when one of the two women left the room, he raped the other woman.

Apart from being a stand-up comedian, Khyali is an Aam Aadmi Party worker. When the spokesperson of AAP, Yogendra Gupta was contacted, he was quoted as saying, "AAP has lakhs of workers and he is one of them. What he does in his private life is a different matter. It has nothing to do with the party."

Meanwhile, Khyali Saharan has appeared as a guest in the Kapil Sharma Show and was a part of The Great Indian Challenge season 2. The season was won by Rauf Lala.
