Dharampatnii: Dipika Kakar & 3 Others Who Said NO To Pratiksha’s Role Opposite Fahmaan Khan Before Kritika

Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii Update: Following the success of Tejasswi Prakash's Naagin 6, Ekta Kapoor teamed up once again with Colors TV for the new show Pyar Ke Saath Vachan Dharampatnii, starring Fahmaan Khan and Kritika Singh Yadav as the lead duo, Ravi Randhawa and Pratiksha.

Despite generating significant buzz and high expectations, Dharampatnii, which premiered on Colors in November of the previous year, has been struggling to perform well in the TRP ratings. Interestingly, the show was initially confirmed to end in June, and the production team had even wrapped up its shoot. However, at the last moment, the channel decided to grant it an extension.

Lead stars Fahmaan and Kritika have been getting an overwhelming response from fans for their portrayal of Ravi and Pratiksha respectively. However, did you know that Kritika wasn't the first choice for her role in the popular show?

From Dipika Kakar Ibrahim to Adaa Khan, let's take a look at the actresses who were approached for the role of Pratiksha before Kritika eventually got selected.

Dipika Kakar

The actress, who became a household name after essaying the titular role in Colors TV's hit show Sasural Simar Ka, was reportedly approached to portray Pratiksha in Dharampatnii opposite Fahmaan Khan. According to a Tellychakkar report, she turned it down due to her other commitments.

Adaa Khan

Widely known for essaying the pivotal role of Shesha in Ekta Kapoor's popular Naagin franchise, Adaa Khan too was reportedly in talks with the Dharampatnii team. However, at last, she wasn't too kicked to essay the role and gave it a pass.

Kratika Sengar

Kratika Sengar has been a part of several hit TV shows including Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Jhansi Ki Rani, Punar Vivah, and Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki among others. It is being said that even she was in talks for the role of Pratiksha. According to reports, things failed to materialise between her and the makers. Also, she's currently on her maternity break and is busy nurturning her little munchkin.

Jigyasa Singh

The makers of Dharampatnii had also reached out to Jigaya Singh for the same part. Last seen in Colors TV's Thapki Pyaar Ki 2, the actress was in the mood to take a break from TV back then and decided to give it a pass.

At last, Kritika Singh Yadav was roped in for Dharampatnii which proved to be a turning point in her career.
