Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii Update Shireen Mirza Reacts Playing Mother Fahmaan Khan Same Age Shefali Shah Akshay Kumar Waqt

Shireen Mirza On Playing Mother In Dharampatnii: Fahmaan Khan, who made his acting debut in 2017 with Star Plus' Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka, has achieved significant progress in his profession. He has starred in several TV shows, including Ishq Mein Marjawan, Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, and Apna Time Bhi Aayega, and ultimately gained prominence as a television star by playing the lead role in Imlie.

In the popular Star Plus series produced by Gul Khan, Fahmaan portrayed the lead character of Aryan and received acclaim from viewers for his onscreen chemistry with co-star Sumbul Touqeer Khan. Having become a household name with Imlie, he is currently playing the lead role of Ravi Randhawa in Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii on Colors TV, produced by Ekta Kapoor.

The show premiered in November last year and has been getting a positive response from viewers. Shireen Mirza, best known for playing Karan Patel's onscreen sister Simi in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, is essaying the character of Fahmaan Khan's mother.

SHIREEN MIRZA WASN'T READY TO PLAY FAHMAAN KHAN'S MOTHER

Interestingly, both of them are of the same age in real life. Yes, you read that right! In a recent interview, Shireen opened up about playing Fahmaan's onscreen mother in Dharampatnii and how makers convinced her to accept the part.

Talking about the same, the actress told ETimes, "Of course, I was not ready initially to play Fahmaan's mom. We are exactly the same age, he's a few months younger, that's it. There was lot of dilemma in my mind and then finally I said yes. When I discussed it with the creative team, they managed to convince me. This was not a regular mom standing in one corner of the frame with no dialogues or someone who would not be making any impact in the story line. In fact the character has a strong presence as the story progresses."

SHIREEN MIRZA CALLS SHEFALI SHAH AN INSPIRATION

Shireen is fine playing a mother onscreen if the role is significant and meaty. The actress further stated that Shefali Shah has been her inspiration. Sharing the same, she revealed that there have been numerous occasions where young actresses portrayed the role of mothers to actors who were significantly older than them in Bollywood films.

Taking the example of Shefali Shah's character of Akshay Kumar's mother in Waqt, Shireen shared that the actress' performance was inspiriung and she looked convincing as the superstar's mother in the hit dilm despite being younger than him in real life.
