In a shocking turn of events, an unknown caller has claimed that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah star Dilip Joshi is under threat. The caller reportedly claimed that 25 armed men had surrounded the actor's residence at Shivaji Park. The threat news comes just after a day an unknown caller claimed that Mukesh Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra's residences were under a bomb threat.
Nagpur Control Room Received The Threat Call
A report in India Today states that a call was made to Nagpur Control Room informing the police that 25 people armed with weapons and guns were outside the actor's house in Mumbai. The report even says that the man over the call identified himself as Katke.
The report reads, "It was the same call where the caller threatened that Mukesh Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan, and Dharmendra's residences would also be bombed." The Nagpur Control Room sent an alert to the Shivaji Park Police Station and an investigation is reportedly underway.
It was also reported that the caller had heard a few people talk about these 25 people who have landed in Mumbai to carry out the activities. When the phone number was tracked by the cyber team, it zeroed down to a boy who works in a SIM card company in New Delhi. The report says that the boy, however, had no idea that his number was spoofed, and the call was allegedly made using a special app. The police are now making efforts to track down the real caller.
Earlier, a bomb squad was rushed to Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra's Mumbai residences after the bomb scare call was received by the police. However, they did not find anything in the search operation that was conducted in the bungalows. Meanwhile, the cops in Juhu, Vile-Parle and Gamdevi, under whose jurisdiction the residences of the two actors fall have also been reportedly alerted.
Talking about Dilip Joshi, the actor became a household name after his stint in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as Jethalal Gada.
