CID’s Fredericks aka Dinesh Phadnis On Ventilator; Co-Star Dayanand Shetty REACTS To Heart Attack Reports

If you are a 90s or 200s kid, Sony TV's CID is likely to be an important part of your growing up days. The crime investigation drama featured Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, Dayanand Shetty, Dinesh Phadnis, Narendra Gupta, Shraddha Musale in the lead and was quite popular among fans. After all, the show ran for over two decades and had won millions of hearts.

Well, the show is once again making the headlines as one of the lead actors has been hospitalised and it on ventilator support. We are talking about as Dinesh Phadnis who played the role of Fredericks in the show. According to media reports, Dinesh has been hospitalised owing to his ill health and is currently on ventilator support.

In fact, the media reports have been abuzz about Dinesh suffering a heart attack following which he has been on ventilator support. However, his CID co-star Dayanand Shetty, who played the role of Daya, cleared the air about Dinesh suffering a heart attack and stated that Dinesh has been under a different treatment.

Talking to IndianExpress.com, Dayanand stated, "Dinesh Phadnis is hospitalised and on a ventilator, doctors are observing him. He has not suffered a heart attack, it is a different treatment and I wouldn't like to comment on it".

Meanwhile, ever since the news of Dinesh being on ventilator support surfaced online, fans have been praying for his speedy recovery. An Instagram user wrote, "Let's hope for his speedy recovery". Another user commented, "Oh gosh, hope he recovers..."

Talking about the work front, Dinesh became a household name with his stint in CID wherein Shivaji Satam played the role ACP Pradayuman. The show went on air in 1998 and pulled its curtains down in November 2018. Besides, Dinesh was also seen doing a cameo in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah along with movies like Sarfarosh and Super 30.
